About
Paws In Print Publishing

New authors face many challenges, primarily finding a publisher to accept their work, and that it why I decided to form my own publishing company this past year.

I have a real passion for animals, especially my two Basset Hounds, that I lived with for 15 years. My seasoned writers say write what you know, and that is what I did.

Telling their story and taking it a bit further with depicting the special psychological world of canine and human interaction became my goals.

A great resource that I used to lay the groundwork for starting on this adventure is when I did research and found this book: Dan Poynter's Self-Publishing Manual.  Self publishing is a long journey and you will run into many roadblocks; however, it is worth all the heartaches.

Janet Duvall,
Author & Publisher

Professional Life: Received a B. S.  degree in the early 70's from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and majored in Journalism & American Studies. Served in the U.S. Navy as a Yeoman, co-owner of Duvall Vending, a snack & soda company, volunteer coordinator for the City of Jacksonville for over 14 years.

Personal Life: Ms. Duvall lives with two wonderful dogs: Tracker Blue, a Golden Retriever and  Roxie Bellabowa, a Brindle Boxer. There is a wonderful husband in the picture for 27 years, Bruce, who is the business owner. We also are very active in our local Jacksonville Corvette Club where we are part of a group of Corvette car crazy people that go to car shows, travel throughout the USA, and just have lots of fun showing our cars to other car crazy people. You could say life could not get any better. Oh, the cars: a 2001 Corvette Millennium Yellow convertible and a 1993 4oth Ruby Red Metallic Anniversary coupe.

But we really appreciate how the animal world and Mother Nature makes our lives better in so many ways.
